Notre Dame junior righthanded pitchers Jeff Samardzija (Valparaiso, Ind.) and Jeff Manship (San Antonio, Texas) have been attracting plenty of attention from professional scouts throughout the 2006 season and both of the talented pitchers recently were upgraded by Baseball America into top-50 status on the magazine’s midseason list of college prospects who are eligible for the 2006 Major League Draft.
